What is SpamWall?
SpamWall is intelligent server-side software that scans the e-mail
you receive and blocks messages with the characteristics common
of spam and unsolicited e-mail.
This saves you from downloading, for example 250 junk messages,
sorting through all of them, just to read the the few legitimate
e-mails you actually want. SpamWall will block the messages before
they even get to you. It's saved us time, frustration, and
made the internet a better place. We hope it will do the same
for you. |
How do I use it?
Because everyone gets a different type of
spam, (and as the saying goes, what may be junk to one, may
be gold to another) SpamWall will more than likely block
the majority of e-mail your receiving. Sometimes it may even block
legitimate e-mail. This allows it to build up a dictionary that
it will use in the future to block spam and unsolicited e-mail
and allow legitimate e-mail though. Don't worry, you can always
unblock legitimate mail.
- After you activate SpamWall on your e-mail address you will be
able to login to the SpamWall Control Center using your e-mail
address and password.
- Once in the Control Center, you will be able to view different
types of statistics, as well as any e-mail SpamWall has blocked.
- In the Control Center you can also unblock e-mail. This way SpamWall
learns what kind of e-mail you want. Everything else goes to
the dump - where it belongs!
- Everyone has a normal message cycle, what we mean is, after a
while we all start getting mail from our regular friends and
family over again. For some this cycle is a week, for others
it could be a month. However long your message cycle is
how long it takes for SpamWall to learn what kind of mail you
want and don't want.
